My 2 new chickens...

I forgot to ask the guy what breed they were...anyone know?



I just got these girls 2 weeks ago, the larger one (on the left) has been producing an egg a day and the one on the right has just started laying maybe an egg every 3 days. I have never tried to keep chickens before, so I'm happy I found this page! I'm sure I'll be bugging y'all with questions.

I am heading out now, to take pictures of the chicken tractor I built for them and will post them in whatever thread would be appropriate.

I have no idea what breed they are,(Maybe some sort of production red?) just had to welcome you!

Thanx! A friend at work that got me started in the whole chicken thing thinks they are a mixed breed with some buff orpington in them.

I was looking through the breeds and they kinda look like Golden Sex-Link.

Here's the page on Red and Black Sex-Links. They look very similar to the Red Sex-link too. Not sure what the difference between Golden Sex-Link and Red Sex-Link is.

It's very possible that they could just be a wonderful mix too.

Some folks call them Gold Comets.
