Oh no! I'm getting really worried. My Silkie's crop has gone down some this evening. I fed her some Kefir with probiotics, so I am hoping it will help her. I'm going to have to make a decision on the frizzle very soon, I thinkKeep an extremely close eye on her. With the other one suffering from paralysis and this one with sour crop, I would be very suspicious. Marek's can cause crop problems. I have had 4 that died from Marek's that presented with sour crop. I could clear up the crop issues but, it ultimately led to death by Marek's. I just don't like the chain of events that you are describing. Keep us updated on how they are doing. Keep up with the sour crop diet and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and sending up prayers that these things aren't related.
What have you been doing with the frizzle since we last communicated?? If your giving her the fluids with vitamins, is she swallowing?? My Silkie just laid there for about 3 days, but she still swallowed. She also got a lot worse before she got better. I gave mine straight Poly Vi Sol for the first 2 days (not watered down) and I dissolved a Vitamin B tablet in it. The Poly was twice per day and the B was once. I also kept pushing the fluid between time. I'd say I was doing this at least 4 or 5 times a day. If you can't do that I'm sure if you get a good feeding going 3 times a day it would be fine. Keep a heat lamp on her (don't let it get to hot). I'm going to be gone most of the day today and will be back tonight. Message me later and good luck. Remember, they get worse before they get better.
I'm giving the frizzle the vitamins still, she's still eating and drinking on her own. Not seeing any improvement though. Her first spell of walking with her head turned, and stumbling was 7/30. I started treating her on 7/31with the vitamins and in about 2-3 days she was great! Last Wednesday ( I think) is whe she started just falling over, no head turning this time, and then was paralyzed. The sour crop can take a long time. Her crop needs to be processing the yogurt and mashed up scrambled eggs before you even think about giving her any feed.
