MY 6 YEARS OLD WHITE LEGHORN CHICKEN PET

Both feet, especially the right one needs to have the bumblefoot kernel cut out soon. The videos in the links in post 8 show how to do it. The surgery will help better than antibiotics alone. He may not need amoxicillin with surgery. Does he roost on the ground? He has feather loss on his breast where it can become blistered and abscess. I would make sure he has a small roost, or at least a soft dry place to roost on at night. The fungus on his face really needs to be taken care of--it is probably very itchy and painful. Miconazole and Lotrimin will treat it. Here is a source for amoxicillin: http://www.californiapetpharmacy.co...productid=fish-mox-250mg-60ct&channelid=FROOG

I have to agree with Newchickincoop. This poor old fella just needs to go to sleep. At 6 years old and in so much pain, I doubt he would live long enough to treat and recover from all of his ails. I think the best course of action would be put him down humanly and end his suffering.

It's not a feed issue. It appears his face and wattles are ate up with favus. Favus is avian ringworm. Ongoing use of miconazole will clear up favus in time. Monostat 7 contains miconazole. Wear disposable gloves when applying the miconazole cream.

HEY I KNOW THE ROOT OF ALL HIS WIMPING AND LOSING OF APPETITE. ITS BECAUSE OF HIS TWO FEET BOTH HAS BUMBLEFOOT. I DONT HAVE MONEY TO BUY MATERIALS AND DONT HAVE MUCH KNOWLEDGE IN TREATING IT.

HERE'S A PICTURE OF HIS BUMBLEFOOT

Interesting, looks bad and I wouldn't know

He's white leghorn my friend its natural in his face?? Maybe? I dont know what is roost. He is my pet he sleeps where I sleep so maybe I will also die?

I'm a little confused by some of your statments... I hope this is that you are truly seeking help. If he is a friend then you would not want him to suffer as he most defiantly is. :( you must start the care that has been given to you through advice !! The ointment for his face and the antibiotics . Roost is basically where he sleeps is he on a perch or floor. But you must find someone if you can't to remove the "core" or corn In his feet as far as I know the antibiotics alone won't heal that. And he should ge getting vitamins or some Gatorade in water at the least to boost his immune system. Good luck
