My adopted flock and the wait for eggs.

We were given 10 SL Wynnadots from a friend who couldn't take care of them any more. They are just over a year old and had been laying regularly...the move did not go well for them.
It took 4 weeks, but finally they started, first one, then 2, then 3, 5 then 6. Today I got the full load from the ladies, 10 eggs. One of them is huge, she must have been saving up for this thing. Top left in the picture.

My 13 y/o daughter got a little creative with the store eggs one day, I found this when I went to do a comparison.

This is our chicken watcher, she is very protective of the flock, won't let them venture too far from the house. We kept them penned in for the first month, then let them free range this week. They like free ranging much better it seems.
