My "Ameracauna" or is it EE?

It's a boy. Lots of dark feathers.

About the legs, they aren't slate when they're born, that develops. But, yours look like they're developing into brown? Hopefully, it's just a photo thing.

I have chickens with slate legs and they are the color they will be when they are hatched. I have never heard of chicken's leg color changing (other than getting darker or lighter maybe). For sure they won't change color completely.

True Ameraucanas can occasionally be born with lighter legs that eventually darken to slate, but you are right, they're not going to do an extreme swing.

This bird's legs are way off color. It's an Easter Egger. It is a hen though.

Let me show you an example. I have purebred Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. Here is one being born. Pink legs.

Being purebred, here are the slate legs. (I'm sorry, the light is bad, in my garage, cloudy day... But, they really are slate in real life, lol!)
This is a 5 week, 5 day time difference in these photos.

Her sibling, same age, still with pink legs.

And by now, 3 weeks later than these pics, they're all slate.

Is this abnormal?

I would guess it's a pure Ameracauna, especially if you ordered a pure Wheaten Ameracauna from them, and it was labeled as Ameracuana. If it's legs darken it will be true to the breed, but if they stay yellow don't write it off as an Ameracauna since a lot of time hatchery chicks aren't of the highest quality and may not meet breed standards.

It's not uncommon with pure Ameraucanas to experience leg color changes within the first few weeks of life. But the end result MUST be slate. That is why OPs bird doesn't qualify.

My suspicion is that MPC hasn't gotten their genetics under control yet. Which is disappointing. It's not difficult to come up with mid-quality stock (which is all that hatcheries care about).

Here's Daffodil at almost 6 weeks. The comb COULD be roo...hard to tell. The legs look greenish to me. I still highly suspect boy.
