My babies are being shipped tomorrow.

ok I e-mailed them but couldn't wait so I called and they said they are very busy which is why no e-mail yet. The chicks went out!
Also she said that all orders scheduled to ship today were able to go so........ We have babies on the way!!!!

Now the PO just needs to make it quick! LOL

I ordered from Ideal as well! Have only got the best service from them. I'll be getting 25 assorted silkies, a leghorn, a minorca, and some assorted tophats. YAY!!!!!!! I was supposed to get some Welsummers but something went wrong with the hatch and they called at 4pm wanting to know if they could subsitute as they were short. Booooo. At least they are honest though right? So I put them on the backburner and told them to add a few more tophats and I ordered the welsummers at a later date. I got my confirmation e-mail today and I expect the chicks to be here on Friday.

IDK bout anyone else but I have been ready for weeks. I use a 125 gallon aquarium as a brooder and i steralied it and had it ready with shavings a while ago. I ran the chick feeders and waterers through the dish washer to sanitize them and I bought the food today so it was a lil bit fresher.
Oh and I have electrolights on hand to but I am not going to mix that up until I get home with em so it is fresh!

I am set!

I am confused now, I got another email last night saying my chicks were sent? So I don't know if they shipped them out on Tuesday or Wednesday

I guess I'll call them this morning to find out. I was really hoping that they would be here today, its my daughters Birthday and it would of been really neat if they came today!

The Cackle hatchery just called and the silkies did not hatch out. The order has been rescheduled for Aug. 10th. I am so sad..........

Oh gosh, I like to prepare ahead of time as well! The kids and I are always excited for new baby chicks. Whether they are from the hatchery, broody, or hatched in the incubator they are always special and fun.

Too bad about the silkies at Cackle! I am short my welsummers because Ideal had some issues as well. I wonder if the high heat and humidity has affected the hatches?
