Well after waiting for two weeks and expecting my girls on friday the 1st and getting the call from the feed store that they won't be here till monday or tuesday I finally got them today. Went and picked them up at 9:30 this morning. Only 1 out of 12 had pasty butt. I picked some of it off and she didn't like that at all. I noticed that it's just a little around the edge and the "poop shute" is free and clear. So I think she'll be fine. I ordered from Sunnyside Hatchery through my feed store, I think 3 of my 12 chicks are wrong. I had ordered 6 RIR and 6 BPR, my understanding of it is that the RIR should be rust colored as babies. Well 3 of them are quite yellow which leads me to believe they will be white when grown. Oh well not a biggy. If they do end up being white they'll be white leghorns.
Ok onto the pictures. A few of them are foggy because I snapped the picture through their plastic brooder.
