Thank you for the kind words! I love them all too, it was very difficult when Nelly passed, it broke my heart.

Haha well I've been handling them since we got them, so they are kind of used to being picked up and kissed and petted! The first day all I did was sit at the brooder and watch them and they were kind of wary of me like "why is this crazy lady staring at us?" but they got used to it. Then I stuck my hand in with some chick feed in the palm of my hand and they learned that hands bring food! Lol Whenever I stick my hand in now they come running

It's this stuff called Gro-Gel that Meyer will send with the chicks if you order it. It was a waste of money frankly, all my chicks did was stand in it. It's suppose to quickly hydrate them and give a big boost of vitamins and electrolytes.

adorable! if you place the waterer and feeders on some blocks of wood or something at head level, it will prevent some waste of the food and keep the water cleaner...
keep posting pics, we love them!

Thank you for the advice! I think I am going to do something like that soon since I swear they have doubled in size since they got here... They have decided that it is great fun to scratch the feed out of the feeder. Yes, I will definitely post more pics, probably on Monday when they are a week old.

They went outside for the first time today! At first they were terrified and hid behind me, but once they figured out that there was bugs in the grass and dirt they could roll in, well let's just say that they weren't afraid anymore!!! Latifah found a worm and the chase was on! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Any way, here are some pics:
