my baby call ducks

My dh said no more chicks so...... I just got 2 call ducks and they are so cute!!! I got them from a breeder about 1.5 hours from me. I hope I have a pair but time will tell. They have been peeping non stop so I hope they settle in soon and get used to their new home

I was reading up on this breed... fascinating. I just hope you have no nearby neighbors though based on what I've read! I guess they are named CALL ducks for a reason!

They call ducks to the pond so hunters can shoot them. I raised a white one with a white goose what a sight that was. HA!

Speaking as a hunter now, I bet they were awesome for attracting wild ducks to the blind!

I wonder if they were hand tame and carried around in the hunter's pockets or what?
