My baby chicks have mites/ lice

i noticed my baby chicks ranging from one to two weeks old have some mites or lice I’m not sure which one it is on them not infested just one or two . Could this kill them ? I used a little bit of dusting powder on their vents and under wings just wondering if it could kill them

Yes, it could be deadly for chicks. Those things are sucking blood.

What kind of powder did you use? Are they with a mum?

Make sure nutrition is kept high... chick starter feed not diminished by too many treats... maybe some Poultry Nutri Drench or other bird vitamin supplement if you have it?

They have poulvite in their water and no treats I’ve had a couple random deaths so wondering if this could be caused by mites ?

I went crazy disinfecting their waterers and feeders last night cause not sure why the couple random deaths and I’m not sure what type of dusting powder tbh my neighbor gave me some that she had I think it may be permethrin they don’t sell it here anymore
