I have the sweetest bantam hen Pip Squeak who is about 7 months old. She was fine and her usual self all day, and she lives alone in her own pen. Just like an hour ago I went out to grab her and hold her, she is usually kinda sassy and has lots of energy. And tonight she's being very calm very quiet and not doing much as usual. She also keeps putting her tail feathers and booty up? She just started laying two weeks ago but it's now been four days since I've gotten an egg. She looks okay, but isn't acting right at all. Just wants to lay here. I'm already having a terrible day and now I'm worried. Please help. I have her inside on my lap rn it's night where I live. I even took her out to take her usual dust bath and she didn't really take one.

Putting her bottom in the air when you approach is her asking to be mated. Many hens don't lay daily. Do you have other chickens for her to be with?
No she's currently alone. I don't have a bantam rooster for her, but she used to have a fellow bantam hen but Pip Squeak would fight her so they are separated and have been for about a week.

A broody hen will sit, slightly flattened. They will cluck cluck when removed from the nest and will want to return. They will often fight with other hens. Bantams are prone to going broody. Seems young yet, but not impossible.

I'll check her out tomorrow and see how she acts. I'm gonna put her back out in her pen on my back porch so she can rest and sleep. It's night time here. She's been on my lap in my living room the past two hours cause I've been anxious and worked up.
