Hubby and I have been working on our small herd... all bottle babies, although Mookie is already eating hay and calf grain (with decox) at three weeks old (along with his bottles). Two others are eating the grain also, just not as consistantly as The MookMan is.

so, here's the pics

They're so adorable-I say Norman for baby #5. He reminds me of the Norman in "Cityslickers" with Billy Crystal. Too cute!!

OOh i hate you! I want a baby cow so bad! I'm never gonna be able to have a cow..

They are so cute!!! What breed are they all? What are you going to do with them? I love baby cow's!! We had 5 dexter calves this year.

correct me if im wrong but I believe most of them are dairy cows?

Never got to work around them, but have seen them before. my friends had a goat farm and a ton of there friends had cow farms....
In other words I don't know much other then them being soooo cute!

What kind of pet do these make, my husband wants some...

I have a question

How did you come across male dairy calves? Other than knowing a dairy farmer I am not sure how to purchase one in the future.

Just call most give them away or charge $50 they don't want them they are a by-product to most dariys and most of the time treated as such..

When I worked for a petting zoo we would go get a few every year.

the farmers would tie them to a post for the veal guy to pick up if they where lucky they would get to drink off mom but most of the time they just got a sip and mom was milked out and the first milk is saved for the girl babies..

We only wanted them if they got their first milk becuase with out the ani-bodies they can't fight off stuff and do very poorly.

You have to watch them and treat any illness as like I said they are a by-product. useless........veal.

We did hit a few farms ho treated their drop calfve nicley and we love raising their babies!

Calf runs are the not fun...
