Marley is 100% better. The duck eggs I had under the heat lamp ended up being duds. My chickens and ducks officially hate Marley and peck her head anytime she is close to them she hasn't learned how to leave the eggs alone yet, but we are working on it. She is improving with the chickens showing her who is boss. We limit her time outside with the chicks now. The chicks have finally found a place they like to lay. I was pretty excited to see them nesting in one spot. I tried hard boiled eggs to see if she could eat them. Big fail, I officially think her body doesn't like eggs. Just wanted to make an update for y'all.

That bad beagle :barnie I also have a beagle and although she acts so sweet inside, she can be quite a bad beagle outside. She thinks the chickens are something to hunt so she's not allowed inside their fenced in area. I'm sure if she had a chance, she'd eat the eggs whole.

As much as I hated to, I fenced off an area for my laying hens and ducks. The hens still fly over to roost at night, but they have been pretty good about keeping the eggs in the fenced area. Marley is a good girl when it comes to the chickens and ducks, just not the eggs she would eat them whole too if her mouth wasn't so small
I never gave her a chance to think she could hunt them. As soon as the chicks came home, I teach all my dogs they are "their babies" I have one dog, Lady, that wouldn't let anything happen to "her babies" she stays close to the little ones when the other dogs are around. Best of luck not having your pup having an egg snack
