Im still new to this chicken raising stuff so be patient. Well i just got a pair of bantams last weekend and they dont seem to be eating a lot of anything i give them. I've tried corn and i just bought this multigrain feed yesterday and theyre not really eating that either. They both look healthy. I've tried giving them treats and they dont eat that either. I've given them leftover baked chicken, oranges, tangerines, rice, and they dont seem to like any of that stuff or show any interest in it. Im afraid its affecting my hens health because shes stopped laying eggs for about 3 days now. Anybody help please? Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Its' not too unusual for them to stop laying after being moved to a new location.
They will eat when they get hungry
Get some layer pellets, and keep giving them scraps. They will eat what they like and leave the rest

It won't hurt to give them citrus fruits, but I've found they don't like it anyway

What was the previous diet?

Are you giving them layer pellets or crumbles?
Sounds like they need chicken feed.

They may not yet recognize what you're offering them as feed. Can you find out what they were eating before, and try offering them some feed like that? I 've heard of birds who were used to crumbles not eating pellets, etc. To transition them, you can mix the food that they were used to in with the new food you want to feed them.

I dont think i can find out what they ate previously but i just started my pair on some new feed i got a couple of days ago.

Thats the feed i just got for them. Hopefully it does the job. Is that ok or should i just go with layer pellets? I went to go check on my hen today and she finally laid her next egg after 5 days. Ha im so relieved and happy.

You should go with layer feed. I dont feed mine straight layer mash, I have a special mix made up containing mash, corn, wheat. And I give em lots of scraps and let them free range,....

Game bird feed is for game birds like pheasants and quail. You should try and find some layer mash. I use Nutrena.

Is it ok if my cockerel eats it too? the layer pellets i mean? Because i just feed them all together. Would it be healthy if my cockerel ate it?
