I'm so sorry for your loss.

We lost a 10 week old Silkie over Christmas vacation and it was pretty hard to find her passed under the coop. I also lost a White Leghorn chick at 3 days past hatch and that was the hardest hit since it was the 1st one. These chickens seem so fragile to me sometimes.

I'm sorry

I lost my favorite serama chick on Christmas day. Same thing happened with me. Set her down for a few minutes to open presents with my nieces and nephews and when I came back she was gone. It was my first loss from my first ever hatch, so it was a little traumatic. I definitely cried.
