Do the top two tail feathers come out farther than the rest of the tail? If so, for sure a boy. A very pretty boy! Not sure on breed, a lot more feathers need to grow in for coloring.

Looks like he has the longer roo tail feathers coming in, and he's awful flushed in the face for a girl at that age.

Yes, it is a cockerel. I have to agree with the others, in that it appears to be an improper example of a breed. (this is very common for hatcheries) A Gold Laced Wyandotte with a single comb appears to be probable.

ok, I've been pouring through pictures, because I have GLWs, though not hatchery stock, and they honestly look nothing alike other than that they are both laced. It does however, resemble a Barnevelder, because of the greenish sheen. This is a hatchery chicken, so I'm thinking Barnevelder might be it.
