My birds are a pair!

There Is A Breeder Of Nuns In Gilroy Calif. John Heppner Pres. Of The N.p.a . There Are Breeders Of Them Mostly East Coast But John Has Good Ones I Just Do Not Think You Can Sex Birds By The Vent Bones Are They Old Or Young Birds Do They Have Bands With Year On It

Nope. No bands. Hopefully he was right.

So does this bird look mismarked to you?

Why have I only found pics with markings on the wings?

The Bird Are Nuns Maybe Just Under Marked Meaning The Flight Fearthers That Should Be Colored Are Not Seperate Them For A Day Or So Out Of Sight And Hearing Of Each Other Then Put Them Back Togather And Watch The Male Will Start Cooing And Danceing In Circles Around The Hen If They Are Old Enough And Are Not Of Same Sex

Took the one out I think is female and the other one is not too happy with me.

I just love these birds! They are so pretty. Geez I hope I don't go out and try to get more so I can show. LOL

If they are bred to others with correct marking would I get correct babies? If so after about how long would it take to correct the problem?

A Ouestion That A Breeder Should Answer Because Each Breed Has Faults That Are Fixed By Breeding A Bird Say That Has To Much White To A Bird That Has To Much Color Now Looking At The Birds Without Color In The Flights I Would Think A Bird With Colored Fligths Would Be The Way To Mate But Sometimes Breed Markings Have More Problems Than What You See So If You Can Contact A Breeder And Visit With Them It Would Be The Way To Learn What And What Not To Do The National Pigeon Show Will Be Held In San Deigo In January It Will Be Very Large Entry And Many Breeds Of Pigeons

A little too far for me to go.

I'll see what I can find and also look into asking a breeder.

I'm having a good time learning in here though as well.

I appreciate everyones help so far.

Were you the member that now has that beautiful big chapel shaped coop? I bet you could keep them in there. I just unexpectedly became the owner of two pigeons this weekend, and they are getting along quite well in the chicken coop, with their own nest box and food out of reach of the chickens. I will build some more perches for them this weekend, too.
