My broody Quail did it, 4 babies hatched! - Update and New pics page 3

Many times yellow fuzz, not very thick, in my experience with quail, means a white bird. For some reason the white birds have very thin fuzz, but it improves quickly. If the eyes are red, I would say Albino, if the eyes are normal, I would say you have some Texas A and M genes.

I was thinking Albino English White as English white can be in the genes of a normal BUT could be silver. Just keep baby warm and he should thrive

Yup, that's why I am subscribing to this. I really want to see the eye color when it grows up. Hope hope hope it does and hope she can give an update from time to time. Being a little different, makes it automatically a little more special and interesting. And I am curious about alot of things, anyway.

So has the other egg hatched yet? Or has she pushed it aside? Or is she still sitting?

Ok, I'm going to back off now and go read for awhile.

My last egg hatched over night, so now mamma has hatched all five. What a star! Little yellow one is still alive and appears well. Decided to call her Genie (my little genetic mutation!) Lets keep

I have them in a large rabbit hutch, nothing special. i did have them on grass for a while but found them smelly as could not move it very often. So now have them in a rabbit hutch and i give them greens as an extra.

Little Genie, is doing very well today. Running around with siblings and has a full crop this afternoon. I'm pleased as she had such a slow start compared to her siblings! Will update with pics soon! I am hoping to try and go and see the one my friend hatched out like little Genie. Hers is fully grown now, so will be interesting to see what it looks like! x
