my broody still hasnt laid eggs.... what gives?

My silkie hatched out babies appx 1 1/2 months ago, her babies died maybe 2 days later. Shes in with the hens that are eating egg layer, so shes getting that. When will she lay eggs again? My barred cochin is breeding her, so im hoping for some barred cochin mixed silkies.

Any personal experiences?

some broodies will go a couple months AFTER the chicks are all grown, so it sounds like your hen is fine. She is just taking things slow. Also, another possibility- could she be sneaking a nest somewhere, and about to go broody again?
