My brother, and others, forgot my birthday,,, again

I'm sorry they forgot your birthday! I understand that it does hurt your feelings. That they mean enough to you for you to remember their birthdays, and you want to be just as important to them!! I really do think that people are so self absorbed that they do not realize how they hurt the ones who love them the most. The tradition is not the way it used to be. HEHE back in the "Good ole Days"!! I am glad your son and your parents remembered and were there for you.

Happy Birthday!!!!

I think it is more the ignoring of tradition than them forgetting me. I even got birthday greetings from Iraq and Afghanistan from friends! If they can remember then someone here should be able to. I love to celebrate birthdays and such, heck just surviving around here can be a challenge at times.

My family always remember mine because i start reminding them a couple of days before hand. LOL

I agree, traditions have been lost now a days. Between the computer, TV, video games and such...family times are not as important to some people anymore. I think with the change of economy people are going to have to start depending on others again and getting back to our grandparents times and I for 1 cant wait.
I love to do something nice for my family, friends, even people that i dont know just to see a smile on their faces. I think it is an important part of just being human. Being forgetful does happen but it is hard when it is something so important to the individual.

Well, Happy Birthday from your BYC family!

Happy Birthday!
My solution....I call those I care about....and say flat out, with a smile, laugh, & giggle...."wish me Happy birthday!"
It's much easier, you do care about them...and it doesn't mean they don't care about you...so just take the plunge...and don't let it mess you day up! It's much better to say something....trust me....I do this.

Happy B-Day!

I too, am one of the no-minds, I forget everything unless I have it written down. My own sister used to have to remind me of my anniversary!

Poor hubby! I did eventually learn, go ahead remind people-I never minded when people used to do it to me. It just shamed me into remembering and taking the time to write dates down. There were never hard feelings from either side-people knew I never forgot maliciously.

Wait till you turn 50. My mother started counting backwards at 40, so I have to calculate her age every year. Don't feel bad. It's just a day, but Happy Birthday anyway.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sorry it's a day late... now where is that birthday thread... I must look at that more often!

So sorry your family was forgetful on your special day!

I'm glad your son was there for you!

Hope this year brings all you are wishing for ( new job, relocation... ) whatever your heart desires!

They don't mean a lot to a lot of people. I've got a zillion sisters in law, only 2 remember me. They're the 2 I respond back to.

Happy Birthday.
