hi i had a buff braham and
he had been limping for a while
but i just thought that it was from
fighting threw the fence with my
other bird and then today he was
doing good and when i went to
close up the pen he was died and
i was giving him vitamins and that
kind of stuff trying to get him feeling
better.

if any one has any info to share i would
really appreciate all the help
thanks.

Miss Lydia
i went into the pen to
close it up and he was
limping so i thought that
he might of been trying to
fight threw the fence so i
moved him and his hen to
a different and gave him some
vitamins and i watched him for about
3 day and he was getting better and
started walking better and the i went in
to open the pen when i found him dead
the only thing i really noticed was his toe
had some blood on it but there was barely
any.

I am so sorry Pedro, It's not always easy to know what happens, You could get a necropsy done or do it yourself might get some answers, Could he have flown into something and caused his foot to bleed? I wish we could help more but I sure don't have any answers for you. How are the rest of your chickens acting?

my other chickens are
fine they are acting like
they always do but one
of my are a little stressed
but that's about it. and there's
really nothing that he could have
cut him self on.

Did he have bumblefoot? Bumblefoot is generally caused by a staph infection and if it is not treated it can go systemic where it will turn deadly. Staph is also contagious, so you need to make sure he did/didn't have it. Check his feet over looking for any swelling with a black scab in the center.

JustAChickenLittle&More :

I was thinking that too ! Staph is bad for people even.

Seriously bad for people. I was almost killed by a systemic staph infection 5 years ago. I have never been so sick in my entire life. And I got to spend 5 glorious days in the hospital with it. Party on!

no there was nothing on his
feet no swelling no black scab
so i dont think that it was staph
infection?
