I was cleaning my quails tank and I grabbed my quail to put him in the holding box and my cat grabbed him out of my hand almost killing him, though he might die today. My cat has killed lots of house birds, and she opened the lock to the cage! I love my cat but sometimes its to much.

I'm placing her outside with the other cats. I'm not going to hurt her or anything, and she's lived outside before but she going to stay outside now. She can hunt to get her own food and we give them water and cat food. I just don't want her to kill any more of my birds.

When housing predators and prey animals together in a home you have to take appropriate measures for the safety of all involved. Failing to do so does not equate it being the fault of the predator or prey.

She never showed aggressiveness towards the birds till a while after having birds so i never new she would do a thing to the birds. She actually likes it outside which I'm happy for. I understand that the birds and the cat is my responsibility but I can't get rid of the cat or the birds. Its better being outside then the pound (I would never do such a thing)

I'm jealous, if any thing small and alive moves it's killed instantly by my cat.
