So i have only a few eggs left after hatching and are almost positive it has been more than 21 days for the eggs that are left. We have candled them all and we think they might be dead except for one which has a good size pip in it. There is one little hole where the beak is sticking out of the shell and just the membrane around that little hole, the chick is still alive and chirping but has not hatched yet. It has been more than 21 days, and has been pipped the same way for almost 24 hours now!? I have read that you can actually kill the chick by helping it hatch. We have been trying to keep the humidity levels up by using a pie pan filled with water, then a colander which we wet a paper towel and set on the inside then set the eggs on and have a towel on top which we have constantly been trying to keep wet. Please give any advice you have on what to do in this situation. I am completely stuck???
