my chick is not growing

I got 3 chicks last friday for pets an easter egger, a buff orpington, and a barred rock. Sadly the barred rock doesnt seem to be growing or developing .. the other too have their wings and thier tail feathers are starting to come in but the barred rock hasnt grown a bit

.. i dont what could be wrong .. he also sleeps alot more than the other 2 .. is he just alot younger or does she have problems... they are all pullets

we are having the same trouble with one of ours as well. at times it just stands alone and does not move as fast as the others. it is beginning to concern me.

Ok because I replied to one and went I looked at this thread my reply was gone. I was mystified for a second there.

Have you tried giving a karo syrup / electrolyte supplement?

We had some very stressed chicks upon arrival ... we lost 10 out of 22. It was recommended to me to try to give some karo syrup and electrolytes (pedialyte) to help with some boosts of energy and help prevent dehydration.

Does she appear weak?

I have a two week Australorp that is half the size of her chick mates. She seems to be doing fine (other than a "puffy bottom", but no pasty butt).

I've wondered if she is a bantam instead of standard size.

umm well she seems to sleep an awfull lot more than the other 2 ... and i dont know what to describe her .. i guess weak .. kinda pitiful
