My chicken has a strange soft lump on the side of her foot! Please help!

no I have not checked for parasites she’s very skiddish so it’s hard to pick her up and hold her

I usually examine my birds at night after dark off the roost, easier to 'catch' them there.
Less stressful for all, I wear a headlight that can be tipped up for enough light for me to see but not enough for them to walk away, and then tipped down to examine bird.
