My chicken has runny poo, tail down, weak, please help.

HI! I just had this same experience! One of my all-time favorite hens!

I haven't read all the advice........but I can tell you what I did.....and it saved her life! she was "fading away!" have lost them before like that!

I picked her up; held her under the faucet in the sink just on her hind quarters. She was "pasted up"!!

Usually happens to baby chicks.....but it can happen at any age!

I just got all that white poo off her bottom......and dried it off (it plugs up their bottom.......just like the chicks)!!!

She recovered the next day! No vet , no medicine, no rehab......just unstuck her bottom!

WHEW!! I HOPE THIS REACHES YOU ON TIME!!!!!

Nice of you to try and help, but you misunderstood the problem. This wasn't pasty butt. This is an adult hen who had an egg break inside of her.

I was just logging on to ask about one of my month old chicks who has runny brown poo, different than the usual looking stuff...should I be worried? otherwise looks great
So very sorry to hear of the loss of the chicken....it is difficult to always know what to do....
Not sure if I should do anything about this or not
