Please help! My poor hen was found like this last night, what should i do? What do you think happened to it? Do you think she will be okay? I have given her food and water, not sure if she's eating or drinking, and put some spray on her wounds! ☹

Poor baby. Have no idea what happened, though. Usually a predator attack will cause deep, bleeding wounds. This baby looks plucked. What kind of wounds did she have??

Poor girl! I hope she recovers soon.

That is not a predator attack. She was either plucked out by the other chickens or she pulled her own feathers out. The small gash could have easily been caused by another chicken.

Feather plucking can be caused by low protein diet, boredom, or fighting from lack of space. What kind of food do you feed? How many chickens do you have and how big is your coop and run?

She is also either sick or extremely sunlight deficient. The comb, wattles, and face should never be that pale on a healthy hen.

I have 4 coops 106 chickens but one pen is for goats, and the other one ducks and geese, then the last 2 chickens, so i have plenty of room, about 450 spuare feet for chickens

The other one is a different one that seemed to have gotten bored and plucked her feathers or was bullied, she isn't as bad, but i still took her in.

106 chickens needs around 1060 square feet of space, minimum. 450 sq ft is a little less than three square feet per chicken, and that is nowhere near enough space. Boredom from lack of space probably caused that extreme feather plucking.
