106 chickens needs around 1060 square feet of space, minimum. 450 sq ft is a little less than three square feet per chicken

@FuzzyCritters you did part of your math wrong.
450 square feet for 106 chickens is more than 4 square feet per chicken.

Which is more than the common recommendation of 4 square feet per chicken in the coop.

(Yes, the common recommendation also includes at least 10 square feet per chicken in the outdoor run, which would be 1060 square feet of outdoor space for that many chickens.)

For coop space, I agree that is sufficient. The 1060 sq ft recommendation was for the run.

I got a knew coop today it's larger then the others, said to be 500 square feet! And the chicken is doing fine, she still needs to regrow her feathers though.
