Sadly I’m not surprised anymore since it seems to be happening a lot more lately. I’m not sure why? Maybe bored because of COVID? Who knows. But they seem VERY common now.

I actually just got one of my own yesterday! It was on my guess the mix breed thread of all places. Someone had stolen some Google pics claiming it was their dead dog and still insisted even after being called out. The dogs looked nothing alike btw.

I don’t get trolling in general but I especially don’t get trolling the emergency section here (there’s been several) or making up a fake dead dog ? That just seems really low to me.

I know right!? Like the few fake emergency ones including this one have been called out almost immediately. And on my thread I instantly recognized it too because the picture was tiny and extremely pixelated and very obviously stolen plus the dogs had very different markings too. Like at least make your lie believable. Then they’re like oh no it IS the same dog and it is mine even though the pics were literally first on Google

Oh for sure!! I wish they would. Maybe it would deter some of them. But then it’s probably hard to tell between the trolls and just new people? Idk. These ones seemed VERY obvious though.
