Are there any other illnesses similar to marek's?

We did a check and it wasn't marek's diesease. The vet didn't know what it was.

If your vet didn't even know what Marek's is, then he/she is hardly in a position to assess if it is or isn't Marek's. If your chicks have actually been vaccinated, then a blood sample would probably come back as positive for Marek's anyway, so I would be interested to know what other tests are available? I have done quite a lot of research on the disease myself since my own flock contracted it, so I am always interested in improving my knowledge if there is new information or tests available.

Because of the numerous and varied symptoms of Marek's there are many diseases which share some of them, but Marek's is probably by far the commonest particularly in juvenile birds.
