My chicken sang the egg song!

I rehomed 3 brown leghorns that I started with. Every chick I got after that was unwelcome and they did not do well together. It took me a while to realize that the B.L. weren't going to change. Since I let them go my coop has been so calm and the chickens are much happier.

I am very happy for you. I don't have the guts to try and integrate chickens with other chicken with other chickens I just got 3 coops. The biggest coop has 8 in it, and the nick name for the chickens in that Coop is "Pretty Girls". The second coop is in the Garden and those chickens are called "Garden Chicks". The third one has my Cream Legbars and I call those the "Dr Suess" chicks. I have room in the Dr Suess coop for a couple more, But I am afraid that they will not get along. So I haven't tried it. Your brave.

I am pretty new to chickens and didn't realize that there was a pecking order and that some chickens were more aggressive than others. Mine Leghorns really were. They were very mean and not even nice to each other especially one of them. I thought the chickens were so happy to get out of lockdown in the morning and didn't even realize that it was because they wanted to get away from the Leghorns. It's pretty calm around my coop now. I still have a couple of feisty ones but nothing like before. I have learned a lot.

I don't have any problems with my Leghorns.

Thank you! It's already been a big help with egg laying, feeding, and worm farming. My first beetle emerged a week ago, and it was almost as exciting as my first egg!

Zarafa121, you lost me there. I have never warm farmed but I have hoteled them over the spring, summer, and sometimes through the winter. I sold worms for 4 years and decided not to do it again next year. What about the beetles?
