My Rhode Island Red hen took a chunk out of a turkey's head who is at least twice her size. It wouldn't take much to kill a pigeon.
I'd be watching for any signs of disease such as nasal discharge, eye problems, sneezing. Pigeons, like any wild bird, can be carriers.
I wouldn't worry too much, just be aware. Do not medicate your chickens with anything trying to prevent a disease as it might mask something.
