MY CHICKENS ATE EACH OTHER AGHHH!!!!

A 6 inch opening is like having the door open when it comes to predators. Even a 1 inch opening can let in a weasel or rat. Make sure every opening is covered with 1/2" hardware cloth. Chicken wire is for keeping chickens in, not predators out, so don't depend on it.

When we built our run, even the gaps where the metal roof meets the frame were filled with expanding foam. We had mice getting in to the coop via the gap where the electric conduit comes through the floor. Not a predator worry but mice sure make a mess and get into the feed. Filled with the foam as well.

Look around your coop and run, any gaps showing daylight, fill or cover with hardware cloth.

I agree with everyone above, your chickens didn't eat each other, a predator did.

Great advice there...I agree 100%.

Another tip on the expanding foam is you can poke some steel wool in the hole and then fill with foam. Mice will sometimes eat through the foam but when they hit the steel wool they stop.
