Lol, not really. I do live in FL, off of a preservation that is pretty much a cypress marsh. It sure feels like a swamp at times though. My location started as a joke a few years back on a different forum.

That's too funny. I'm directly across from the green swamp in Central Florida. This is my swamp coop when it was under construction. If you enlarge it, you'll see just how swampy it is in the background. It was a particularly gloomy day so it's not always that dark.

That looks awfully familiar! Lol.
This is the back of our property. There's standing water year round.

We're trying to acquire the a lot next to us. It's undeveloped, and in the floodplain so it's value it's not very much. However we have 22 ducks, and the fact that two-thirds of it is under water, is rather valuable to me.

Everyone, I just looked at the poll, and 2 people voted NO, a 1 person YES.
Now I'm feeling the need to get some pretty birds :jumpy I love my mutts, but their not much to look at.

I'm sure their lovely, but yes, BO are REALLY pretty....if you care for them the right way, that is.

I just read a great novel that beautifully explains the difference between marsh and swamp. "Where the Crawdads Sing".

Thanks for the awesome tip! I just ordered it. If you like that type of reading (especially about the NC coastal islands, take a look at author Dorthea Benton. I've read every book she's ever written. They are romantic novels, but like like Where Crawdads Sing, so much of it is about the history and landscape of the islands.
