My 7 month old banny rooster hasn’t opened his eyes in 2 days and he has a weak crow and almost sounds like fluid in his throat and a lot of “matter” or “debris” in his eyes. Can anyone help a fellow out?

Can you place a warm very wet washcloth on his eyes as a compress for a few minutes to soften the eye crust, then clean the eyes? Look into his eyes for any bubbles or pus in either eye. If you can get Terramycin eye ointment or plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment, apply some to the eyes twice a day after cleaning the eyes. Saline eye wash from a drug store can be good to flush out the eyes.

Is this involving both eyes. Do you notice a bad odor around his face? Are you hearing crackles or wheezes, or notice any sneeze or cough? Is there drainage from nostrils?

It would be good to know your location so we can know if the same products are available.

We have Neosporin, and we’ve actively cleaned his eyes but they stay shut, he has no smell around his eyes and face, there is drainage from his nostrils and there are crackles and wheezing

There are a handful of respiratory diseases that affect chickens. Some are infectious bronchitis, MG (mycoplasma gallisepticum,) coryza, ILT, and aspergillosis. They can all differ somewhat in symptoms. Getting testing can confirm what disease you are seeing, to know if an antibiotic will help or in the case of a virus or fungus, will not help. Your state vet is a good respurce to check with about getting tested, as well as checking with your state NPIP tester. There is a lab called Zoologix that will send you swabs to test for respiratory disease panel for about $95, but the state vet should be much less if you call them. At this point, you should probably close your flock to birds leaving or coming into your flock, since all birds may be considered carriers. Here is a good link about common diseases including the respiratory diseases above:

Is there anything else I can give him, he still is congested and seems to be staying the same I put triple antibiotics in his eyes and vitamin B complex in his water but he still doesn’t seem to be changing

Where are you located? Can you get tylosin (Tylan,) doxycycline, or oxytetracycline from a vet? Those antibiotics can help treat symptoms of mycoplasma or MG/CRD in chickens. There is no cure, but it may clear him up. He will be a carrier if it is MG, but he probably got it from another flock member. If you are in the US, you can get tylosin (tylan) here to put in the water, but he needs to drink it for 5 days:
