Perfect I’ve been checking on the morning and the afternoon since I found those two. But I don’t want to stress the chicken that’s laying out. Does it stress them out when you check?
Depends on the bird, just watch thier reactions. It's not going to stress them to the point of messing with thier laying cycles or anything. Might just spook them a bit.

x2. Some are totally fine with it even right at the start, others are never really comfortable with it and will bolt if you're getting too close to the nest.

I have some that are so chill about it that I cleaned the entire coop around them (rake, broom, scraping), and then cleaned the nest boxes last, once they both finished laying.

Okay perfect! I found a brown egg yesterday morning as well! So now I’m not sure if it’s my Buff Orpington or my Barred Rocks that’s laying but I’m one happy chicken momma! I raked and cleaned this morning and this time I scattered some treats farther away from the coop for them. They seemed to prefer that better so that made me happy!
