Do you're chickens see you really well? They look at me through the window even when I'm far away... they know when I'm watching. It's really cool but, weird! My dog doesn't see that well! Anyone else?

Dogs (except sight hounds) have poorer eyesight than humans.
Chickens (except at night) have much better eyesight than humans.
They have independent eye function and see subtle motion better than us. Their eyes detect things faster. One eye is for distance (predator detection) the other is for close things (prey). The downside of chickens' eyesight is night vision - they don't have any.

Birds in general have sharper eyesight than other animals (or humans). Birds of prey, such as eagles, hawks, falcons, etc. have the sharpest vision in the animal kingdom. An eagle can see an 18 in. long rabbit at a distance of two miles.
