what nice chicken .I know you like to give them their freedom going in and out but you should still lock them up when they go to bed for the night, for their protection. You have such a nice coop its sad the snake got in

Gosh, I'm really glad we don't have a lot of snakes in Michigan. Maybe a little garter snake but that's about all we see around here. I'm so sorry for your loss.
