I only started getting chickens this year , although we have had bantums in the past. i have different breeds initially it was 2 warren, 2 white tail, 2 maran and 2 bluebell, laying well then stopped, then a few weeks later i lost both warrens, 1 whitetail and 1 maran, the other white tail and bluebells lost their feathers and some colour but have picked up now, we have got 3 new warrens and we think its them that sre giving us eggs. Dont know why the others died. we also got a Brahma mother hen and eight 6 wk old Brahma chicks, we could see within a couple of wks had one cockrel hes now a beauty and still only about 20 wks old, now i can see we have another Brahma cockrel. My husband thinks weve got 5 cockrels out of the chicks but im not sure how can you tell, also the mother Brahma wont go in the coop, she laid her eggs on the floor of the run, shes not laid any for wks now, and where all the others go in the coop at night she stays outside. this is the second one we know to be a cockrel
