My chicks are BORED BORED BORED!!

Hi guys,
my chicks are about 2 weeks old, (i have 4) and they have bricks in their brooder and a perch, but they are still soo bored. The keeping pecking the sides of the brooder for hours at a time, what else can i put in to keep them entertained??
And when can i start feeding them meal worms??

we gave ours worms and sand from the creek at that age. they loved the sand, we put it into a bowl and just let them have it. They knew exactly what to do. meal worms will make them really friendly.

On warmer days, try letting them out in your front yard. They will love it.

Hello and welcome! I got my chicks this hanging chunk of a treat called Baby Cakes, specifically for chicks less than 8 weeks old. They love it! I got mine at the Tractor Supply, and you hang it in the brooder for a couple of hours a day. They love it!

You can also dig up a chunk of sod and put it into brooder, grass, dirt, bugs and all.
