I wouldn't mess with him in a back alley, or anywhere else for that matter.
Thirty six! Was there a child holding him while he was on the scale, or is he hiding a hen under each wing? Lol. Zseeesh, is that a record!?
This is going to give me 'day'mares as I hope to set a batch of EO in a couple of days! Happy showing.
He's perty.

He's quite handsome, but what does the weight standard call for? Isn't 12-14 lbs about as large as an Orpington rooster is supposed to be? My own Blue Orpington rooster was about 14 lbs in his prime and that is a tad larger than the SOP calls for.

That said, I do like a large rooster and he's a stud muffin!

ETA: I could have sworn this thread was in the genetics section when I clicked on it. Brain damage, maybe?

He looks big, but there must be some mistake. 36lb? as in 16kg? I can't believe it, it's just not possible surely.

It does seem impossible. My own Blue Orpington was about 14 lb in his prime and his chest was about 18" across. I can't imagine what a rooster who tops 30 lbs would look like in person!
