I got the wiLife outdoor camera - it transmits the signal through the electrical lines so you don't have to run Cat5 cable, or fiddle with a wireless cam and reception. Plus, it is made for outdoor survaillance so the field of vision is much wider than a regular USB webcam. Down side to it is no sound (which I don't care about anyway) and it's not got good night vision.

I'll let you know how it works out once I get it. I'm a bit leery about the signal thing, but hopefully it will work out well.

List on it was $299, but I found it new for $250 on ebay including shipping.

Wow, an outdoor web cam?? now that is the ultimate gift.

You are so right Smitty, he didn't know what he was doing but he was doing it fast. Last year..I said, let's not exchange gifts this year as money is tight...now every woman knows this means ..get me a little something..right? Well, I got dh a g.c. to Harley-Davidson and he got me.....nothing!!

He has now learned his lesson.

I ordered that bator from Cutler's Supply Monday and it came yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not believe that it was here three days after I called my order in. Needless to say, I am now a fan of Cutler's! I haven't opened it yet since it is for my Christmas. LOL
