My coop build

I wanted to say "Hey" from a Jupiter resident and thanks for sharing all the coop "thangs" although I actually hail from Connecticut.....it's a great a coop and the stories are keeper's. Thank you for sharing,

Alright, I haven't been able to work on the coop for a little while. Finally got to it today. Finished lots of stuff. Only things left to do are a little painting here and there and to build the roosts inside. I would say it is about 90% done. 1 more day and it should be done. Updated pic. The pop door was an afterthought and was decided on after the windows were in and siding was on. If I had it to do again the windows would have been a little further from the door, but it still looks OK.

Good design, would you like to show the inside of your chicken coop ?It is really very nice ,your chicken will happy stay there.

What kind of wood do you use?

Great.

Thanks everyone! There are a few finishing touches needed. I am never perfectly happy with my work, guess I'm kind of picky

As far as design credit goes, like so many things I build, my wife gave me a description of what she wanted the outside to look like. We went together to hardware stores, she picked out things, got some other ideas. I sketched it up, she asked for some changes, and this is what came out of that collaboration. She is my beautiful muse, my inspiration. Just want to make sure I give credit, where credit is due

Wendy - As for the wood question, it is framed up with 2x4s, the siding is cedar, roof is plywood. There is an interior pic a couple pages back. Once I get the roosts inside, which will be natural wood, I will put up a new pic of it.
