This coop is beautiful! One question, how is it with all the windows? I would think they would create a greenhouse effect and make it very hot inside. I always wanted more windows on my coops and am curious how this works out for you. Great job and excellent creativity.

Jody - the windows all are working double paned house windows and can be opened and closed at will. Also the decorative grill under the eaves is a vent and there is one at either end. Even with all 4 windows closed and just the 2 top vents open, it has been 95 outside and it has been about 85 inside.

Scot, very nice house, very fancy <g>.

I was wondering, though, in winter, with the hardware cloth floor - how are you going to keep the cold out?

I see you live in Arkansas, but I'm sure it gets a little cold down there, still.

Maybe you already mentioned that and I missed it in all the posts.

It's easily covered if needed. We have very few really cold days, maybe 2 weeks total. The rest of the winter is pretty mild. I can also install a heat lamp if needed. Not really worried about it though, as I have all the bases covered.
