I bought it several years ago for a different project. I remember it wasn't cheap. It's 3 inch

Nice coop, a lot like I was envisioning for mine, so now I have pictures to show my husband so he can envision it too.

I would replace that string with paracord and knot the end so there's no fear of it breaking and so some prankster doesn't pull it out

The string is 120# nylon string. I think it will hold up. Just in case I told my wife to take her phone if she goes in during the day while I'm at work.
