My coop start to "finish"

And why having an actual (blueprint) plan is a good idea, cause I didn't lol

My original idea was I knew I wanted it 8 foot long (bottom 4x4s) but finally figured 6 foot wide.... + the 2x4s running on the outside of the vertical 4x4s

buddy works at a hospital equipment delivery place so he had plenty of 24-32"x4' plywood pieces he let me grab

area where the accessing the roost will be

walls done

other side of door for roost nest (kinda jump ahead to roof on)

started painting, did dutch style door (more obvious here)

put roof plywood on some 2x4s to slide into place on top

used my tractor to raise it on top with buddy guiding it inside, then had him on top to put on corrugated panels

found a window/screen (window panel can be taken off) finally at a habitat for humanity store around the right size (sure it was for a screen door lol)

mostly cleaned up inside

added solid rubber wheels on door side so I can move it around with my tractor easier

at this point it was done enough to move em in, I have sealed as many gaps I have been able to notice
put a solar powered wifi camera inside so I can keep an eye on them (there's more bedding now I underestimated how much i needed at first)

gonna grab an awning or something like to put over the door, gonna set up the gutter system on the back to collect the rain water in one of my 55 food safe drums, among other things I need to add. Will update as it goes

You should carve out the foam and fill. You blocked off much needed ventilation. You should also add more ventilation. A lot more.
I would install more windows (backed with 1/2" hardware cloth) at roost height so you can open them during the hot summer months.
It appears to be pretty sturdy. I would either wrap it and side it or put a lot more paint on the chip board. That stuff breaks down very quickly when it gets damp.

Nice use of found materials, but I agree that MUCH more ventilation is needed.

Hardware cloth openings with top-hinged covers are probably your best option.

I will be adding more vents (in my 4th to last pic of the clean inside you can kinda see them sitting in the top right), I normal have the window open and the top of the Dutch door open.

I have a 3.15"/80mm hole saw I was thinking of just doing a number of those with hardware cloth, keeping the cutout if I need to block them (maybe a little hinge for each ).

Same with windows, I'll be adding more but that's a "as I find them" thing lol. Unfortunately I've only found the one at about the right size right now from the places around me but they get new stuff all the time so I'm sure I'll find more soon enough (yes there's the big stores but I don't want to spend $100+ for one lol).

I forgot to mention it but yeah this is more of just the "base version" for the coop. I plan to do siding with it too but that's more of a last thing I'll do after everything else hopefully lol

The hole saw is not much use. It gives you a few square inches when you need square feet.

Chicken coop windows don't need glass. They can be openings covered in hardware cloth with hinged wooden covers to adjust for varying conditions.

Yeah you're right lol, I had seen some with the round holes, I might do like the pic on the long sides toward the top. Just paranoid about it being too much when it's cold lol.

I'll do some measurements here soon, and yeah they will be free range, I gotta roll of fencing and some step on posts too keep them in a area. But they've only been in the coop a couple days but after the rain goes by I'll start letting them out normally

Think about how you can dampen/baffle any troublesome breezes.

Shew, been a bit busy but got some more airflow (pic of one attached) doing the cut square with hardware cloth and a price of wood to prop it open

Speaking of cutting squares anyone have a easier way of doing it, tried a Dremel but didn't work well, did a jigsaw but for the life of me it had a mind of it's own so it didn't give me straight lines haha. I have a circular saw but that didnt seem to be as safe for going along the walls
