Mom's going to fly out to MD. on sat. She told me today that they have him unconscious and it looks dire. She says his transplant looks good but the meds they have him on for that leaves his body open for infection. The dr.'s don't know at this point where it's coming from. His mom has not and will not leave his side. Although my mom, my aunt's sister, said for some reason she can't stay in the whole time with him in ICU so she sits and waits in the waiting room and goes in every time they say she can.

Please pray for Scott and my Aunt Ruth as well as his wife and father and sister and brother and his 2 college age step-daughters and all.

My heart aches.

news is.... he's been having blood transfusions many. found out that it does have to do with rejection. he's a 2 on a scale of 0-3 but they are treating it with meds and chemo and hopefully it will work.

He was on a ventilator and when he came out the first thing he wrote was "Happy Birthday Elizabeth" to his little sister.

What a guy.

Now the news is there's been some laughs and everyone is being positive.

Thank you all for your continued prayers.

May the Glory of the Lord be with you on this Christmas day and may your prayers be held high in Heaven.

Love in Christ,
Gretchen

Talked to my sister today and she says our cousin is out of the SICU and walked around today.

Mom made it there despite the weather yesterday at O'hare...

Everyone's spirits are up.

Scott joked and said he was going to write the "REVISED edition of transplants: the TRUTH." And jokes and laughter and all that is good is what they are requesting on his journal.

Thanks all for your prayers and support for my family,
You all are one of a kind,
hugs,
gretch
