Seems that way - we went outside to eat dinner (fast!!) and came back in to a very wet chick wandering around so gorgeous! I need to take my human baby to bed then I'll come back and upload a pic!

She's a little Vorwerk

So the big question, do I try to move her under Mabel tonight or leave it til the morning or even tomorrow night? Not sure I cna bear watching it in a plastic box all alone for too long!

It was wandering about like drunk and has wobbled all the other eggs, should I leave them or try to move them about again?

Well done! That chick is a very special one for sure! When I hatched mine I put a piece of card in to separate the newly hatched. It stops them playing skittles with the rest!

That is a brilliant idea - it is wandering around like a drunkard, falling asleep standing up and generally being a menace to the other eggs and totally adorable

If she hasn't hatched the ones under her yet you might want to wait a day and see if they hatch, then put it under her after dark to join the other chicks

OK it is so late now we are going to head to bed and see what happens tomorrow hatch wise. I also need to move her so thinking maybe I can sneak new chicks in when I do that once hatching has finished.

Great that goes with what I've been thinking - thank you! I just feel so sad knowing the other chick is tucked up warm and cosy under it's mummy and the little one in here is all alone in a hard box oh and it is cheeping now.

it is soooooooooooooooooooooo tiny, I just had to add some water as the humidity had dropped to 62% and I had a good look - so much smaller than the other chicks that we've had born in the last 6 weeks unless they grow heaps in the first 2 days!
