My diving muscovy ducklings

When I take my duck and drake down to the dam only my duck dives under the water, where as my drake just splashes himself. Is diving a female thing only?

They had ducklings and two of the ducklings dived under water in the pond yesterday (very exciting) and I was wondering if it was a way to tell their gender if diving is a girly thing because I am giving two ducklings, which hoping are to be female, to a friend so I was wondering if it was a way to tell.

Nope, all my Muscovy's do the flapping & diving when they go to the creek for their baths.

I wish though!

Ok lol thanks. Must just be my drake - doesn't want to get is pretty feathers wet hehe. They are pretty good divers though
