Just so everyone knows in Western Washington, Bot flies are apparently not uncommon. I posted the video and maggot pics on my FB page and one of my friends, who lives in Port Orchard said her dog had one last week that they had removed. Keep on the lookout for them from now on -- I know I will!

Why dont you try suffocating it? Just plug up the hole with Vaseline and bandages and after about an hour or so remove the cover and just pull it out with tweezers?
I read about someone having to do that with a bot fly once.
Its so gross though!!!!
